Well, it looks like people are using tw3.it. What have I learned from developing it so far? Well, .it domains are not too hard to buy, but you need to live in Europe and send a fax to Italy.

Finally saw Planet Terror/Death Proof yesterday. I have to admit, both films are near perfect. The right amount of silliness, gore and suspense with great pay-offs.

I've been asked why I copied tinyurl and the others with tw3 so I explained it briefly here. Basically, if you're using twitter, the difference between an eleven character domain name and a six character domain name is actually significant. To get more than 4 characters after the slash, I'll need over a million and a half entries in the database, which means, including all the paraphernalia, that URLs will be under 18 characters long for some time. Step 3 ... Profit!

Will you look at this? It's an electric motorbike. Yes, it looks suspiciously like a Yamaha R1 with a huge rear sprocket. Don't drag race it; it'll go from 0 to maximum torque at the flick of a switch.

I decided to make a hassle-free URL shortener for twitter. I picked up the domain tw3.it and wrote some code in the amazing Coda. Now I just need to make it work.
